Forgotten sanctuary

So this is my contest-entry for the contest over at

An old sanctuary dedicated to Mew, crafted out in an unusual stone. Though at first glance it might have seemed as if time had taken the better out of it, tearing down the wooden walls and covering up what left, there was still a mystifying feeling in the air. As if Mew still watched over the sanctuary.

I feel a bit bad that I'm the only one in the contest that haven't drawn Mew itself. However, as far as I understood the place was the important key in the piece.
As it stood: "draw a complete landscape or design a sanctuary, either featuring Mew or else drawing inspiration from Mew"

And there is a lot of reason behind parts of this picture, so if you wonder about something, feel free to ask.
(Like the colours, or the tree, etc. Or you can ask about anything else. I love questions. <w< )
